Morning all. Finally finished Christmas yesterday so now we are back to normal.
Jimbuck47 - I don't have wheel well liners on mine and don't see a need but that just me. Enjoy that 6.2. Really happy with mine and have no regrets at all. Pulls as well or better than the 7.3 it replaced. Welcome back to Oregon!
Good morning everyone. Getting the boys up and ready to go.
Ford stopped putting rear wheel well liners on around 2004-2005. On mine I just cleaned everything up as much as I could and sprayed on a good layer of bedliner. The plastic liners can accumulate dirt and moisture around the edges and cause rust issues, anyways. Same reason I don’t like hard plastic bed liners.
How do you like the 6.2? I’ve always loved diesels, but the extra costs and maintenance are a pain sometimes. What kind of gas mileage are you seeing?
I had just purchased a travel trailer. Started looking at 18’ and ended up with 30’. Needed something good and solid to pull and after looking at heavy duty 1/2 tons, this popped up on the radar Drove down to Corvallis to look at and drove home with it that night. The last Ford I had was a 1954 station wagon. This truck had everything I needed and with a capacity right in the middle with a big margin with no worries about weight or stability. Only bought it a week ago and amazing the dealer let me take it home with a post dated check. Told them to cash the check Saturday so it’s all paid for. The short drive back and forth so far indicates 15.2 to 15.6 driving from house to Corvallis. Took it with trailer to Detroit and back pulled really nice. Felt like I could hit the road now with comfort.
Good evening All.
Had a good day especially for not sleeping well last night.
Got some good news about some ongoing issues.
Now to get the neighbor issues figured out.
