Did you hear there is a new Ice Road Trucker season coming out? This one will be based in Chatham County of HWY 64 around Pittsboro, it will include episodes of small foreign RWD luxury cars speeding down the ice and watching them slide everywhere.
we have enough of those idiots here... i dont need the tv to watch em... under the snow there was 3" of solid ice on the roads... HRT shut down all bus service for today..
We rode to town last night to grab some dinner. It had already started freezing back up by 6 and was slick as crap. Guess we gotta ride to Morehead in the AM to pick a few things up. We didn't even leave the house today, I barely left the couch.
I haven't driven the Ex all week and she has been sitting outside. I fueled at the Siler City Circle K last weekend, they handle a lot of OTR trucks. I need to drive it this weekend, do you think the diesel fuel may be gelled or has everybody been ok?
Well flight made it in last night with no issues. Came down 40 and 401. I left a cup of coffee in the truck and it was frozen solid, but the roads I hit were fine. Sorry I missed all the weather. It was 50 degree's in Salt Lake City when I left. The dash said 15 when I arrived here around midnight.
Built a fire this morning and have been lounging around drinking coffee most of the morning.
The Ex started and ran fine and the block heater had it at 73. Now the truck is full of salt and with it warming into the 60s next week I should be able to give all of the cars baths.

Yup I've never had a problem with my diesel Gelling up and I've never uses any kimd of treatment. It takes some seriously cold weather like 0 to negative temps to worry about that.
you must be lucky enough to get the winter diesel where your at... other areas arent so lucky... summer diesel starts to cloud at 32*... 15-20 is when it starts to gel... winter diesel goes a bit further.. but the older diesels didnt clog as easy as the newer ones do....
