I also had an idea for those that don't mind a little discomfort. We can always rent a spot at jordan or falls or umpstead this winter for some cold weather camping.
Nah. Bring whatever. It's not a test of climate endurance. Just some good old fashioned cold weather camping. Heaters, generators, cords, luxuries are fine.

WHADDUP FELLERS!
Shari and I had another weekend in the Kansas City area...again. And we were there last weekend too. I think we've both have had it for a while. No trips planned until we start looking at houses, and I'm guessing that'll be March or so.
Wet today, so the Christmas light display most likely won't get turned on, no need to start replacing any of the $300 controllers. And just another week and some change and it will all start coming down. And truthfully I'm getting tired of tripping over the near 80 extension, and ethernet cords that are covering the yard.
Hope everybody's doing well!
Good weekend here as well. Grabbed the trailer from Butch's house and took it back to the farm in Raeford, so Raeford James could go pickup his tractor with it. While there I picked up Another Josh so I could run him to the airport on Sunday. Then made it up for a client engagement in Maryland late Sunday night to be in an office around people for once.
Everyone's so busy. Yall be safe running around during the holidays.
It's been pedal to the metal at work and home. I'm looking forward to a few days off.
Same here. Hit Carolina around 10 pm last night. It's been 3 long long days. In the office by 7:30 finishing around 6 on Monday and around 10:00 PM on Tuesday. Got caught in that wonderful DC traffic yesterday afternoon. Truck doesn't look like it's ever been washed now. Have to love a white truck!
Then up early this morning to hit down town to pick up my permits that have been waiting for me and finally getting logged back in to realize I don't know what the heck I need to get done today.
First step... let's find out what night we are all grabbing grub!

Nothing exciting around here. Sure doesn't feel like it's a few day's until Christmas. I'm sure Shari and I being here without either of the two kids has something to do with that.
Facebook and I are going at it, again. They want me to prove my identity with an approved photo. So far they haven't approved the picture that I sent. Santa sitting in a rocking chair, holding a cold beer.
With almost 30 pounds of Brisket in the smoker early this morning that I'm doing for a friend, and some company later this afternoon our day is planned out today.
Then Christmas day a 10 pound brisket for Shari and I, we'll be about worn out, and so we're staying inside and taking it easy.
From our family to your.
Merry Christmas everybody!
