Afternoon, NC! Had a great time in Charlotte at the NASCAR Hall of Fame Saturday, and a big shout-out to NC James for pointing me toward The Monk in Lexington for some amazing BBQ for dinner on the way home. I already want to go back there asap.
Saw a bunch of cool stuff, got a handful of freebies from different NASCAR tracks, met 13 drivers and scored all the main autographs I was hoping for. The HOF staff were all very friendly, helpful, and made a first-time visitor like me feel very welcome and appreciated.
Sounds like you had a great weekend James. I've never been to the Nascar HOF. Next time you make it to a dinner you'll have to tell us all about it.
I'd love to do that. I'll keep watching for the 'Cue Crew Tour to land within reach for me. Going to redefine "within reach" to include Lexington moving forward....lol
Morning all, recently-ish joined. With all the lovely weather and lack of any illness (sarcasm) I finally get to say hi.
A 1973 dentside runner with title but flintstone flooring in the cab brought me to the forums. Failure of more modern vehicles have kept me from starting that so I've just been learning everything I can by osmosis.

Well FTE and NCFTE are great resources. We have some super knowledgeable folks in this chapter alone. Check out the works thread and see some of the action going on in there. Maybe you find one thing you want to fix and we get some folks together for a work day.
The end-state for the '73 is as a DD. So not a complete restoration but more a practical repair and facelift. I've got some cab panel repairs to carry out and a seat to re-upholster. Tailgate to fit (Junkyard find) and a complete fluid change (and gaskets to keep all that lovely new fluid inside) as well as rectify some 'interesting' repairs carried out by the PO. Ideally it'll be functional, if not pretty, by summer.
Future plans include adding brake boost and power steering.
I've just been working outside and it was rather pleasant when it started raining to cool things off. O
I've been walking outside between calls here while I am working. The sun feels great, I think I'm going to plan for some yard work this Saturday. It would be really nice to go through the injectors on the 460 this weekend.
It's always useful to have a functional truck around.
Howdy, Saturday is finally here. Could do to be warmer, but oh well. Have a nice quiet weekend with no plans... for once. Think I’m going to enjoy the peace and quiet.
