I purchased similar lights for my 2017, and I found a Driver side connection, but have not yet found a passenger side. I have a KR crew cab with the extended chrome steps. I hope to crawl under the passenger side again soon to find the connection. I liked having lights on my 2011.

can you post up a pic and description of where your driver's side one is?
What a load of crap that some have it and some don't. Anybody know where else I can tap into? I know one member had said he did his side lights on he running board brackets through the tail light, but wasn't sure which wire...
My lights arrive Friday and I will be going the upfitter route if I can't figure out the remote route (which I prefer)
Tap a marker light wire. split off and go to each side. running board light will be on any time marker lights are on. Which is any time you open a door punch a button on the fob or have the headlights on.

Thank you, I will try that.
Please accept my disclaimer: I am terrible at electrical. Could you show which particular wire to tap into? I don't want to be altering more than once going by process of elimination (aka screwing up and retrying)
Surely this is important and can't be unplugged????
Doing some more crawling under the truck and saw this on the passenger side right where the front and rear crew cab doors meet. I assume this isn't the connector right.
Top marker harness, reverse harness, bottom marker harness (from top to bottom)
Here are the harnesses/wires for my halogen rear lights. Which wire could I tap for the running boards to function like the other exterior lights when I lock and unlock the doors?
