It's not on every truck, you just have to find out whether or not it's on your truck. The blank is held in there just like a normal wiring harness would be. Press the tab on the connector, and the blank will slide out.
I have a 2020 F-250 CCLB XL, and noticed my truck did NOT have the plug on the frame rail. Upon further inspection, i found it on both sides INSIDE the cab, under the door sill plate cover just outboard of the wirind harness. Same exact plug, and I have verified it is hooked to the dome light.

would you happen to have a pic ?
I can’t find this plug on my XLT along the frame. Didn’t want to wire into the upfitter switches.

I’m sorry but I don’t have my truck - back at the dealer getting some extras added. Just pull the cover off carefully, it is right there mid-way back closest to the outside of the truck.

being lazy, and have a bad habit of breaking tabs, but I’m guessing the rear door sill panels ?
Here's another option for the lights themselves. It would appear to be the same product but with 3M tape as opposed to the generic tape on the other brand posted in this thread. $3 cheaper too.
So I have the plugs for wiring in the running board lights. Is there anyway to wire these to work as oem (when puddle/courtesy lights are on) and also wired to an up-fitter switch to function whenever I’d like? I’m assuming just run a power wire down to each connector from the upfitter?

Use the plugs as designed; they will turn on when you unlock the doors, open the doors or anytime you want by using the cargo light switch.

Like the other response said...if you open the doors, unlock the doors, etc...they will work.
If you want to tie them into one of your upfitter switch, I wouldn't even use this connection and run the wire directly to the upfitter fuses...
I don't think you could run them both as they would tend to not have power unless the upfitter switch was on, or you split the wiring to your lights.
Thanks for the responses. I’m aware that utilizing those plugs, the lights will work in conjunction with the puddle/courtesy lights, but just curious if there was a way to have them function with a upfitter as well that way I can turn them on whenever (when the puddle/courtesy lights aren’t on.)That way I could have the best of both worlds if that makes sense.
