I'm getting V/B leafs on Thursday. Plan to pull the axle completely out from underneath and do rust restoration on her underneath while swapping leafs
I think I have a can of POR-15 left. Need to look around the garage some more. Stuff is expensive, don't want to buy another can if I don't have to
edit: tonight I ordered new XRF Upper/Lower Ball joints, and all new seals for the drivers side. I've spent too much money this month. Going to try and re-use the Wheel Bearing Hub. If bad, it'll have to wait until next month when I have more $$$$

Just got done buttoning up the drivers side.
Used the FTE tech folder and below to order parts and accomplish
Ford Super Duty Ball Joint Replacement Procedure - Superdutypsd.com
Annoyed though, got in there thinking it was 1 thing and found out I had bad ball joints. Turns out my problem was a separated belt in the tire. It didn't bulge like normal, instead had a 2-3" low spot. I found it when rolling it across the garage and it acted weird in 1 spot. Should have guessed when I found all the lug nuts hand tight
So now I've got brand new ball joints on driver, and I greased the bejesus out of the wheel bearing assembly. It went from free spinning to active resistance. Hope that Timken unit is ok, not wanting to drop another $180 right now
What is that?

More fun underneath. Installed new to me leafs and fixed way the bumper was hanging. Sits almost 25" at all four corners from hub to wheel arch.
Also pulled the stabilizer off to repair. Waiting on the UPS man to get me the new rubber bushings.
The top leaf is new, from 1999 RCLB 7.3 F-350
The bottom leaf is factory Leafs
I'll swap the rear leafs later tonight or tomorrow.

Order 285/75R16 tires (33's)
Treadwright Warden At. Load E with 10 ply. Currently has Firestone Transforce on her and they scare me. Dry rotted and already had one belt break.
Wanted to run 35's again, but this rig may be used to travel and I couldn't justify the MPG and performance hit. Paid $573 shipped for them. They seem very well reviewed. Time will tell. Couldn't afford another $1100 for rubber after all the other cash I spent rebuilding front axle

Took the X out for a 100 mile cruise. I think it's V codes that I installed. They are pretty awesome though. Gained 2.5" in height. But I also lost my fear of bumps. No more axle slap!
Also, I don't need a sway bar up front. It's currently removed, but you cannot tell. Will reinstall however when the rebuild kit arrives
The rear leafs are noticeably spongy now. Probably going to swap them out tonight after family goes to sleep
Hope so. I remember about 5yrs back they were pretty popular, and guys seemed to love them

tried being useful today. went and paid $245 at Autozone to "RENT" their ball joint tool. and immediately returned it after 30 minutes in the parking lot pressing the endlink units out. Wish they followed their old policy of just holding an ID
anyways, I looks like I accidently bought a rear sway bar rebuild kit by accident. be a few more days until I get proper kit, or just buy new endlinks.
damn things look like factory original from 2000
Here is the Rear Swaybar Endlink kit that is useless to me

Finally got the Clearance lights I ordered weeks ago. Found a generic harness on eBay for like $6. By pure coincidence the plugs are same as sockets for the roof lights. Very nice!
Included my template for install. 4th time I've installed cab lights, this is my favorite layout
Roof has some rust/corrosion. All surface, but needs addressed. I'm going to strip and cover with Bedliner when I get paid. Also going to redesign the roof rack based on what I've seen here on FTE
And I love this tool. Made boring the holes super easy. Correct tool for the job truly does make a difference
