Will you be fabbing/building the custom roof rack or will you have to outsource that job? I don't need and really can't use one but I have always wanted to build a custom roof rack. I have been thinking about fabbing one up for my little Suzuki Vitara but there isn't very much metal up top to mount it to.

I have a 110v welder. Gotten lots of practice welding on my '86 Bullnose doing rust repair recently.
Found a neat DIY Tutorial where you can use an angle grinder to section the bar just enough to bend. Then you are only welding 1 seam instead of butt welding. The rack is my project after I get done with the X repairs. Going to make sure it also doesn't look ridiculous on the Tahoe, as we may need it for longer trips.

I don't have the skills or tools. But I wouldn't mind having to drive up to PA and fund the project
Mag Flashlight Bracket Mounting Clip D Cell Maglight Snap Clamp Holder 2 PC Pack
although I think I paid like $5. I put them in all my rigs
Comes with all this cool stuff. activator, alcohol wipe, sandpaper, copper paint, a stencil, and conductive paste
I went a little overzealous with the sandpaper
The old tab re-epoxied on
and then just to make sure I had good electrical contact everywhere, I liberally used the copper paint
hard to see, but I did resistance checks and got 0.5 ohms. contact to contact on multimeter was 0.5 ohms...so I think I got a good connection lol
doesn't look to terrible. even with all my overkill on the copper paint

17" long, but only 2" are usefully threaded after I cut them down so a socket would fit for torquing. Stupid long for X application. I bought based on fitting a F-250. Whoops
Ended up threading 2" additional onto them. Would not recommend for X use
That sucked. Had forgotten how bad a job it was to perform. Ended up removing the axle from truck. Couldnt get things aligned until I went to ground zero. Will snap pics in daylight
I have lifted 4" from stock and now have to flip the mount.
here is a picture of my last X where I flipped it. The mount is normally bolted inside the frame rail. Just unbolt and put on bottom of frame rail. Then use like normal.
