Welcome to Sunny San Diego! Well, not exactly in the city, but it is San Diego County. Snow levels were down below 3000 feet. These pictures were from Palomar Mountain at about 6000 feet. Took my 2 year old grand son out for his first snow day.
Great pictures as usual Scrap. Just wondering though, did you decide the wash couldn't be crossed just by looking at it, or by attempting to cross?
I walked half way out to eye ball it. Day prior had plenty of rain to soften it up. 6 miles between road crossing in the middle of nowhere can make for a long day if stuck.
Eastbound on I-80 in Wyoming today. The eastbound side was closed this morning in the western half of Wyoming when I got up. I took my time breaking camp and it was open by the time I got on. That's not to say that the interstate was clear. There were sections that had a couple inches of ice and other sections that were like the right shoulder in the picture below. There was no place to go on the right.
The windmills were working hard today. Fortunately, it was a tail wind for me.
