They are not as dangerous as they appear. You can pick them up, and as long gas you are gentle you can handle them, but don't make one mad!

You guys from the south can deal with those critters and snakes and gators and the like. I'm more than happy to be out in the woods when its -30F and snowing hard and never have to be concerned about that type of wildlife.

No, nope, not even a little. My oldest child however would be trying to convince me to take it home.
I am sure they are pretty docile but irrational fear over powers curiosity on this one.

Gonna tell you straight up. -30 you will freeze to death and I have only been bite twice by Copperheads and never even went to the ER. Told the wife to bring my a shot of that Makers Mark Whiskey and I drank it, picked up my Chainsaw and went back to work sweated it off!
Here is the bite, you see the venom around it, look at the width and you can see big Copperheard.
Yep just went back to work, ranching is tough and snake bite don't slow this ole cowboy down...BUT COLD SURE DOES!

I hate cold, gosh not sure on that, coldest ever for me was -2 F actual not windchill on my ranch back in Tx, who know what the windchill was as my ranch house is on top of a hill, where I can see 50 miles and the wind was howling...I had to walk down to my main gate to make sure my electric gate would open. Battery not frozen and not too much ice on the gate. Broke off some ice and it worked, but I could not go anywhere as there is a near 100 foot elevation from my lowest point to the top of the hill and the hill is VERY STEEP.
