Happy Friday, Carolina! I actually took a break from schoolwork last night, as it was a lighter workload than usual this week. I'll be right back at it tomorrow, though.
So yesterday my little 12v air compressor(it sat on a 25-30 gallon tank) died. So I got on Letgo, Facebook market place and so on. I stumbled across this 4.5hp 15 gallon compressor and snagged it for $50
Most if the 10-20 gallon tanks that I see new now only have a 2.5hp motor.
Then today I started getting stuff together for our SC race trip next weekend. Ended up with a free 8x9 tent, so sat that up to make sure everything was there. Also finally got around to snickering the Gooseneck to help with getting DOT to leave me alone.
that compressor looks like the old craftman i had but looks like someone had changed the motor on it... the one i had ran my impact and all that pretty good... sometimes had to wait for the compressor to catch up...
Nice score on the compressor. Things have been kinda busy around here, so no work getting done on the one ton. But it's on my mind as it's getting so close to being drivable. Now I just got to figure out where I can get it inspected at.
Thinking next weekend of having anyone that wants to help turn a wrench again come over and help finish bolting stuff together to get the fuel system, and the engine bay cleaned and closed up.
Left Friday night for SC. Total of 4 car trailers (6 trucks) and 2 campers. We got almost to Hampstead and my buddy had a blow out on his 38' trailer. So got the changed and his spare on. Then we got about 15miles from whiteville and blow outs 2 and 3 happened. Another on his 38' trailer so he had to use my spare, and 1 on the 14' trailer my little brother was pulling. Get those changed... into whiteville for dinner and top off on fuel. Get to Laurenburg and blow out number 4 happens again on the 14' trailer.... at this point we are out of spares. So 3 of us head to the track unload the other single trailer and he went back to get the jeep. So we got to the track about 920, and the second load came in about 1030. So Saturday morning they had to go buy 4 tires...
The racing was fun, I made 4 passes and the wife made 2, both loaded them selfs on the trailer afterwards.
So we set out this morningto come home... and blow out number 5 happened just outside of Wilmington. But... We have all made it home now.
