The seat was one of my first projects. Wife wouldnt ride in it until I did.... When I took the ratty cover off to get to the frames, the original seat was still there!
There are quite a few of the cosmetics that need returned to original. My rebuilder didnt quite do the engine or outside 'white' (should be colonial) as I wanted. Ohh well
Question. Are the "FORD" letters on hood always white? Maybe 'Colonial' like the tailgate letters should be? Rebuilder/body shop sandblasted, so need to paint. Letters are an odd looking allloy; same as
back tailgate chains (appear to be original set)
Glad to see the original seat still there, much easier to re upholster and follow the correct seam lines. SMS fabrics in Oregon may have the original materials. Metal appears to be typical pot metal used on emblems. The border of letter is left unpainted, the inner part of the letter is painted Colonial White.
