Original engine just recently got put back in (see photos). This vehicle is all original. Next part of my project was to install power steering and power brakes. The tires are very old and do need replacing.

What a great year 1966 was for Ford trucks. It was the second year of the "Twin I-Beam" front suspension system where the two front axles work independently to absorb road shocks. It also holds wheel alignment which reduces tire wear. In combination with the new Flex-O-Matic rear suspension which adjusts spring stiffness, you are guaranteed a smooth ride.
While 1966 was the first year for new options such as the 360 and 390 cu. in. V8 engines, it was the last year featuring this body style.
