You have a nice truck. with all the options I am surprised to not see a radio!?! Not too sure about that gold paint on the instrument panel though. Good to see original wheels and dog dish caps on a truck these days.
Hello! Thanks for the post. Im guessing the radio was under dash originally? It has what Im assuming is the orig. antenna. As to the gold paint on instrument panel - same question I have with everything - was that an orig. color/option? If you look at the front 'FORD' lettering on the hood it is the same gold. Thanks! P
Original radio has a round dial, its two ***** are below the dial. Radio fits into the dash.
Original antenna located on the right cowl panel.
Thanks ND - no radio, but antenna is there.
Any thoughts on the gold instrument panel color? Original? Mentioned the hood lettering is the same gold. The rearview mirror bracket also that same color gold.
When I removed it to replace the windshield seal it did not appear repainted, but Im no expert.

I'm no expert on 1957/60's, but the mirror bracket would not have been painted gold originally, which makes the rest of the gold paint on the interior suspect.
Dashboard would have been painted the same color as the exterior.
If there's no round hole in the dash for the radio, I doubt the antenna is original.
EVERYTHING back then was optional, radio, heater, A/T & 3 M/T with Overdrive, 4 M/T, Flareside & Styleside beds, rear bumpers, spare wheel & the tire, jack and etc. tools.

Dayam! Well, good to know - looks like more 'Colonial White' needed.... Would the orig. hood letters then be natural metal (ie blast then clearcoat)?

There's no doubt that in those days trucks were considered "work" vehicles and the larger ones usually had even less "creature comforts". That is what makes your F250 so unique. It just occurred to me that perhaps the original owner of your truck may have been handicapped in some way and ordered it to accommodate his lack of mobility. Thus, nothing extravagant like a radio!

I would think thats a fair possibility. Some of the wise men here abouts think maybe it could have been bought with a camper in mind - another theory those Kansas flat-landers (guy I got it from bought it in Wichita) have a lot of ground to cover without much need to shift for hills/curves with a load. It is a curious vehicle. The "DSO" axle (ref ND VIN plate ID) is something I want to get to understand better. The stack of leaf springs is impressive front and back as well.

That would make perfect sense with the power steering and auto it would make driving much easier for a WWII or Korean War vet that had incurred a partial debilitating injury during their service.
Thanks! Think will pass on the dash mod! So I got the instrument color (Colonial). Same for the windshield vent bracket and rearview mirror bracket? How about the hood letters?

Thanks Again!
hood letters white and the hood side badges red it the background area and the F100 letters.
Have you thought about getting a master parts catalog or a shop manual for it? They are pricey for an original printed copy but can be had reasonably on CD. They have more info than you will ever use.

Thanks for the Help! Have the shop manual - been a great help doing all the mechanical work. Been trying to get my wife (Yes, bribery) to do the side badges and F250 - have the paint.
