"building" an oilpan.
I wanted a 7 quarts frontsump oilpan.

First attempt...

cutted the whole bottom out of an used original pan and folded sheetmetal

later this one did not clear the crossmember / steeringrack...

..okay since i knew i have to put the engine forward i knew i need a longer driveshaft. I ever wanted a Ford 9 inch, so when i need a longer driveshaft or need to lengthen it i decided to swap the rear axle right now. By swapping the rear axle i decided not to stay with the old original leaf spring suspension. So here we go with a new No Limit 4 link suspension and a good used Lincoln Versailles 9 inch (and yes it´s a real 9 inch, not a 9 3/8)

took the old rear shaft with leaf springs out

...my goal was not really to get disc brakes on the rear, but sometimes you have to take what you can get...

...since the Truck will be lowered a couple inches i am worried this crossmember will limit my groundclearance, it´s the lowest part on the chassis...

i didn´t want to remove it, so i decided to cut it to get almost 1" more groundclearance,

cut the lower part and filled with channel for strengthening...

nice work. aren't those rear ends hard to find brake parts now? I find a lot of people installing explorer discs nowadays. maybe i'm wrong?

...to me it seems parts are available.
So that might be not a problem.
But since i heard the e-brake maybe doesn´t work proper every time i´m thinking about to convert it to drum brakes.
