Well, I haven't driven with them yet but the high beam pattern appears to be way better. There is no dark spot in the middle. Here is a pic of the low and high beams. Both bulbs are the new ones I purchased from amazon. I'll do a road test later tonight and report back.
Low:
They seem to look really bright, like blinding bright.
Let me know how the road test goes.
I use rain-x on my headlights already, mainly so the mud will bead. It makes it a little easier to remove frost/ice from them. That freezing fog stuff when it's -20F out is rough though. The incandescent bulbs will at least keep a small area of ice off of the headlight lens.. I am a little concerned about LEDS from this as well. I do have deicing spray that I used on my wife's Volt that had recessed LED lights and it helps, but still needs reapplying often.
Alright, I just got back from taking a test drive and am satisfied with these new Amazon lights. The low beams on these compared to the Xenon Depot ones are pretty similar, but the high beams are much better on the amazon ones. Also, you can tell that the amazon bulbs are slightly whiter. The heat sinks do get fairly warm. I can hold them for about 5 seconds before I have to let go. As long as they aren't resting on anything, I don't think they will cause any issues. Time will tell if they hold out. Amazon has a good return policy if they don't. The build quality on the Xenon Depot bulbs does seem a little better, but the high beam quality just isn't there. I don't know why they design them to copy the filament positions of a H4 bulb and not a H13. I got the good camera out to take a few pics. In these the Xenon Depot bulb is in the drivers side and amazon bulb on the passenger. In the first pic, I adjusted the camera so you could get a better idea of the high beam pattern comparison.
High beam comparison w/ f stop camera adjustment:
I ended up buying these today from amazon. Their return policy is so easy, I figure there is nothing to lose. They are clockable just like the Xenon Depot bulbs. If nothing else, at least this will help satisfy my OCD with my F-250s headlights. The engineer in me always thinks the grass may be greener (or brighter). I should have these installed on Thursday and will report back my findings with some side-by-side comparison pics with the Xenon Depot LEDs. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
So did you end up with the AutoFeel LEDs or the Vplus X LEDs?

Those were the AutoFeel LEDs. They almost look identical to the Vplus ones but the AutoFeel use Cree LEDs while the Vplus use Seoul. Now I see they are $15 cheaper than when I purchased them. If they hold up, they will be hard to beat for $45.
Also, just like with the Xenon Depot lights, an extra hole needs to be drilled into the collar of these, so the drivers side light can sit perfectly in the 3-9 o'clock orientation. Passenger side doesn't need this modification.

Interesting. Good to know. I have not seen where they make fog lights bulbs to match, have you found them?

I have retro-solutions 35W HID bulbs in my fog lights in 3000k color. They really penetrate heavy rain and snow very well and I am very happy with them. The whiter lights really don't help a whole lot with the severe weather. Good thing is that the HIDs also produce enough heat to keep ice off in nasty winter weather.

True that! Good thing is that my truck tries to stay indoors during the winter.
I just ordered these from ebay for $59.99 . My buddy got these and they're much better I'll send photos when I have mine installed
I don't see how much better they can be. Again, here is a light that doesn't match the filament location of an actual H13 bulb. Those ones don't even appear to have an adjustable base, which is really a must have. I'm sure they are bright. They all are bright. I had an early set of LED bulbs for my F-250 and they scattered light everywhere and didn't throw a beam worth a damn. I would compare them to turning on a LED flashlight without a reflector on it.
They need to have a good pattern coming out of the reflector housing, and the only way to do that is to replicate the actual filament location of a halogen H13 bulb, as that is what the housings were designed around. I'm just trying to save others some time and money from making the same mistakes I made.
If I were to buy a bulb from Nighteye from amazon, these would be the ones:
