I ended up buying these today from amazon. Their return policy is so easy, I figure there is nothing to lose. They are clockable just like the Xenon Depot bulbs. If nothing else, at least this will help satisfy my OCD with my F-250s headlights. The engineer in me always thinks the grass may be greener (or brighter). I should have these installed on Thursday and will report back my findings with some side-by-side comparison pics with the Xenon Depot LEDs. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hi
Were these the correct bulbs? The link comes up with h4 bulbs not the h13's

Thanks
Looks like Amazon changed their listings. It used to point to the H13, and even when I open my order detail for the Autofeel H13, the link in my order takes me to this same page with the H4. Not sure where the H13 listing went.
Answering this question depends on your particular definition of "best". For example, are you looking for dirt cheap/higher end, fan/no fan, reliability, made in the USA/not made in the USA, chip/driver manufacturer preference etc. etc.
Many variables can play into this, what exactly are you looking for in an led bulb?
Thanks for the reply. With all these post I was sure you ended up with the autofeel cree bulbs. Thanks for clarifying.
FYI: the Autofeel bulbs perform pretty much the same as the Nighteye bulbs. I would be happy with either. Best bet may be to order one of each and return one of the sets. You may end up with one of the sets having some QC problems. Easy to return with Amazon.
If you were thinking about trying those red H13's, I would caution you. Just looking at the LED location reminds me of the Xenon LED location, which means the high beam would likely be a diffused light projection and not a focus beam. The Autofeel I settled on and the Nighteye that Bleppek settled on both have the offset and staggered LEDs, which emulated that actual filament location of the OE lamps (see my earlier post with the measurement table). I agree with Bleppek's post about buying both headlights because he found QC issues with the Autofeel, and I found QC issues with the Nighteye.
I haven't seen a picture of the OE H13 lamp posted. So let me throw it up here to show how end-to-end LEDs don't have the same physical location as the OE filaments.
And here is one side of the Autofeel on the left and the Nighteye on the right. You can see how their LED locations are placed much like the filament locations.

Which LED is the high beam and which one is the low beam on the Nighteye?
I started this tread asking about Phillips Crystal Vision Ultra bulb upgrade and it took off with LEDS; it seems nobody is happy with any of them, none are a direct install, they have to be modified. I am just looking for whiter, brighter more focused high beams than the factory lights produce without blinding oncoming drivers.

Technology is evolving as I type this response. There is no question the Super Duty factory Halogen lamps/housings leave much to be desired. Unfortunately FMC did not upgrade the body of our Super Dutys with the same care and consideration as the drivetrain. Ultimately it appears the technology is heading the way of the LED and projector housings, time will tell. Threads like this one allow consumers to review the data and make an educated decision on products versus "rolling the dice". I thank you for starting this thread and all that have supported it with their personal experience.
I too would like to increase my ability to see at night but not by causing a blinding light for oncoming traffic. I just wish more drivers were considerate enough to become educated prior to getting that trendy headlight that is equally frustrating as it is dangerous.
I think laser headlights are going to replace LED and HIDs one day... But of course they will start in high end cars, high end trim lines first. (like the BMW i8) Maybe they'll cut through the fog better... (I know, bad pun)
Superduty450 - I think what you learned is that if you want better light, you need to replace the halogen's with LED lights. I appreciate you starting the thread, even if it quickly went to LED lights for the same price as a replacement and not so good Halogens. At least that is what I got out of the thread.
