I have the Silver Lux LED's by Putco. They are about 100 times better than the stock bulbs. You have to clock them so that they shine forward correctly and do not blind oncoming traffic or the folks in front of you.
The brights aren't much of an improvement over the regular bulbs, but the regular bulbs are night and day difference from the stock ones. I've also got some Rigid LED lights on an auxiliary switch if I need to light some stuff up with no traffic around.
WOW they should be 100 times better at that price, Did you need to use the Anti-Flicker Harness when you installed the lights? Do they every have a sale on them? Got any picks?

I too am running the Putco's. Very pleased, and my observations are very similar.
I run a twenty inch light bar to shore up high bean functions.

I'll have to look and see if I have any pics. I don't have any before and after, but I might have one with one new /one old.
I debated with myself quite a bit about the anti flicker harness since it's such a PITA to change a headlight bulb in these things, but I did not install it, and have not had to go back and add it in.
I live out in the country with no streetlights for miles, so an upgrade on headlights was needed. Putco was the brand on the shelf at the supply house so that's what I got.
They are a little spendy, but then again, how much do these trucks cost? (more than my first house)
looking at the putco and the ones from xenondepot, sure looks like someone copied the other, in either scenario, I don't think you can go wrong with either.
That's probably like saying if you look at the factory version of the bulb from GE and the one from Phillips, one copied the other.
It's a certain bulb to start with, and a solid, standard design is going to look similar from different manufacturers I would assume.
The only difference I know of in design is some use a built in little fan for cooling instead of the copper braid. To me it seems like the fan would fail at some point and then cause the light to fail.
These things ain't cheap so I like the idea of an old fashioned heat sink that won't suddenly decide to stop working.
I am also looking for a lighting upgrade for my 2015 Platinum. I don't really want to add auxiliary lights that I have to turn on/off as I don't do any offroading and there is always someone else on the road with me in my area. I just want better lights in the stock location.
The H13 Xtreme LED option from XenonDepot looks good. Mike/CANGIM- I can't tell how your beam pattern would look at a reasonable distance. Do you have any pics with the truck more than two feet from the wall?
Why are they asking if our truck is CAN BUS or not? Aren't they all the same?
Is the Xtreme LED light the one with a cooling fan or was that a third option? I wouldn't want that either.
Is anyone using the matching Nite-Lux or other fog lamp upgrade?
Fog lights were one place I was able to do a decent upgrade over the stock bulbs. I bought a 35w hid conversion kit from retro solutions. I went with the 3000k temp. The stock housings do a decent job of properly aiming the beam and they are a real asset in severe weather. The yellow really cuts through a blizzard or downpour at night.
I had a pair of the high end sylvania headlights in my previous truck. They only lasted about six months. Turns out that the estimated life span for the high end bulbs is much less than a standard bulb. For the life of me I cannot find the chart with the estimated hours but I think the high end bulbs were like 225 hours and the normal bulbs were like 1500 hours. Be prepare to replace burnt out bulbs often if going with a high end halogen bulb.
Interesting choice. Any reason you're going with them? Especially since there's a sponsor in this thread selling a very similar item for less than half that price?

I do not have any pictures for distance but for me they throw better than the stock bulbs, and similar to HID, they make road signs pop, much easier to read if you are trying to read signs. The Extreme LED from XD are the same design, have a braided copper heat sink vs fan. I wouldn't recommend a fan as have the same concern as highlighted above, fans would eventually fail, and probably very fast in dusty conditions.
Went to your site. It would be nice if your "Search by Vehicle" was up-to-date. Newest year is 2006? I don't happen to know off-hand which headlight bulbs I would need.
I had the same experience.
Purchasing LEDs is complicated. How do you separate a quality product that will perform great and last forever from the junk that will die in a few months or perform worse than the stock bulbs. I've purchased LED products that were well reviewed only to be a POS in my experience. Burning out quickly or being so very dim that they were useless.
For headlights, I don't want to be a jerk to on-coming traffic and be the truck that blinds everyone else on the road. I don't trust the "I've never been flashed" comments because I never flash on-coming traffic these days. Not everyone on the road today takes flashing of the lights as a courtesy but more as a comment on the quality of their lights. I do not wish to anger those driving toward me. I've experience crazy responses from on-coming drivers when I used to flash my brights and no longer wish to experience that response. I also don't warn people when they are driving around in the dark with their headlights off. I'll let the local police handle that impaired crowd.
I also welcome actual un-edited customer reviews and installation videos. Without customer reviews like on Amazon, I always think that the company is afraid of the customer experience with their products. Companies need to understand that the shopping experience for most people has changed. We want to review and research products online, order very easily, and have the product delivered quickly. Once we have their product in our hands, installation needs to be fast and simple with clear instructions and videos. Then the product needs to perform well and last a long time. A company web page that is incorrect, difficult to use, lacking in research tools and reviews, installation instructions, or ease of ordering and return turns people like myself off to their product. I never visit a local store to do research on a product. The point of purchase display is now a company webpage.
Lastly, like everyone else on FTE, if a product gets Rodney's seal of approval and endorsement, I'm in. Actual experience here means a lot to me because the people here are very honest about their experiences. They don't just endorse a product because they have purchased it. I've purchased plenty of items over the years that initially I thought were great but soon changed my opinion and soured.

Well, mainly because there were many great reviews on them from another forum from those that have tried them and are using them. I didn't see much of that in this thread. Plus, like someone mentioned, buying these LEDs is somewhat hard and confusing. I was able to figure these ones out with a little help from the vendor selling them.
I just bought a set of the Xtreme Led H13s for my 2016 yesterday. I like that they use anodized copper for a heat sink rather than a fan, and that they are "clockable". I'm looking forward to installing these next weekend so I can finally see! Plus I think the crystal white color is the color that should be coming from the front of these trucks, not the dull yellow halogen color. I wish Ford would have stepped up and offered a projector headlight option for the 2011-2016 trucks. Oh well!
