I'm cheap so I keep my thermostat below 20 and wear a tshirt for extra warmth, turn down the heat when I leave the house as the cats have fur coats and it keeps them from fighting. Probably why my energy consumption is in the energy efficient range.

We keep our thermostat on 20° during the day and turn it down at night to 14°. My shops are always at 10° and only turn them up long enough to take the chill off and keep them at 15° while I'm working in them. We have have 3 natural gas furnaces and the gas bill is under a grand for the year

We keep our house around 21, if I feel too cool I thrown on a light jacket. No sign of a Chinook, it is moderating just a bit here tho.

That should thaw out the car fairly quick, was it parked outside?

All of mine are always inside unheated buildings John. When it gets real cold for a long period of time I park our winter driver in my unheated shop, it never gets below -15.

I keep mine nice and warm, I even bought a cover for it but haven't put it on yet. I have one on the panel but I'm going to buy a fitted one for it for next year..

I bought a custom car cover for my Model T, when I still had it, which was real big disappointment as it was so dang tight I had to use a shoe horn and plenty of vaseline.
