I guess part of it is because of the retiree and the possibility that Jim may not be coming back to work because of his back..

It depends, sometimes it's better.
It was never better for me Morris, the last schedule change cost me $30,000 a year, more when you figured in benefits..

Was that schedule change a job change.. When I got laid off cost me about $40k a year..

Same job, but all the worked in overtime in our schedule was no longer there. 27 hours of my night shift was overtime hours, when we went on a 7 on and 7 off schedule I lost all that. I was on a 7 on 6 off 7 on 4 off schedule before that 10 hour shifts, with the 7-7 we had to work 10 1/2 hours.. I hated that shift..

It all happened because a handful of guys started working everyone up saying they needed more time off but what they had in the back of their minds was with more time off they could work more overtime with to me showed how brain dead they were. after they changed the schedule they cut out all overtime...

My Bobcat business was like that, a few yrs it could go up or down $40,000 or more.
