I haven`t found anything interesting yet John, just that $25,000 56 F100 big back window and over priced ($25,000) cobbled together 53 F100 in a hideous colour.
Went to the Shifters Car Club get together at the local A&W last evening.
Something about it just doesn`t feel right for some reason. It`s got a 55 grill yet he calls it a 54. The part I don`t get is the twin I beam suspension? That colour could be due to the camera.
Apparently its not that difficult to graft on the front frame clip of a twin I beam truck onto these older truck frames, just have to measure your frame width first before you start looking for a donor. I might be doing that with my 48 and 75 F250 and may use part from my 79 F350.

This 56 has the big back window in Alberta $25,000 imported 6 years ago, 351 Windsor with a C4 built in the 70`s.
Okay I remember seeing the 56. Both nice trucks but would have too many things I'd want to change so rather start with something pulled out of a farmers field..
Hello John, Steve, Perry, Grant, Shaun and everyone lurking here.
A twin I beam clip would be a bit wide, after 72 trucks were wider Perry.
Hello Grant, keeping busy at work?
How`s your day going Shaun? Haven`t heard from you in awhile, hope everything was ok.

I`m with you on that John, it`s hard to pay that kind of money then have to make even a few changes.
Howdy Morris. Just been way to busy with alot of stuff between work and home. Still have a fair bit left on the plate right now. Including helping my parents move their camper next month.
Am taking the day off so that I can do some work around the house today, lawn is cut and now it's raking time. The parts of my yard that were reseeded need to be covered so that they don't dry out in the sun.
There's 2 widths of modern frames Morris, 34 and 37", I've got one of each but there is some reshaping that needs to be done.
I'll measure the distance from outside hub to outside hub on my 48 and 75 to find the difference then see if the mounts for the I beam can be moved on the cross member on the F350 clip that's leaning against the wall in the shop. If all it take is to modify the cross member, drag link and outside tie rod then it should be pretty easy to put in my old F350 front suspension as I have it all including the spring perches and radious arm mounts. I never throw anything out until its actually waste material, my scrap metal trailer takes a long time to fill.
