This showed up on a local History Facebook page. There was a company in Southern Clinton County Pennsylvania, the Beech Creek Truck and Auto Company, that built trucks from 1915-1920. Beech Creek is the little village that the Central PA Truckstock attendees passed through going from the Bald Eagle State Park towards Lock Haven

Here is an ad.

Additional info: From 1915 to 1920, The Beech Creek Truck & Auto Company operated in Beech Creek, PA.

According to information provided by Beech Creek Mayor, Dave Orr, the Beech Creek Truck & Auto Co. was incorporated by several area businessmen on May 15, 1915. They planned to build and sell the trucks based on two patents. The first patent was for a special four-wheel drive and the other for a four-wheel steer truck. Paul J. Smith of Galeton held the patents.

Pictures of the truck show a stake body, four solid rubber wheels and a wooden cab over the driver’s seat that went up and down. The four-cylinder engine had 40 horsepower and 900 RPM. There were six speeds forward and two in reverse. The wheelbase was 132 inches and the truck weighed 6,000 pounds. It came in a three-ton and one and a half-ton model. The retail price was $3,850.

I'm guessing that price tag kept them fairly rare . 1920 Model T was $300

The price of a Model T was an anomaly compared to almost every other car and truck of the day. Plus, comparing a Model T to Abe's find would be akin to comparing an F150 to a Peterbilt today. A more fitting comparison would be against this beautiful FWD Miss Bates is about to drive off in. I think you'd find pricing similar. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luella_Bates
