I always love looking at the vintage photos on this thread but rarely post any. This was shared on a FB page. It was taken in 1958 in a local downtown area during Christmas time. Those type of shopping views are now long gone. Sure do miss the hustle and bustle of that time😊
So I asked my buddy at work to check my math...The truck in picture 7363...50 gallon barrel ? 8lbs to the gallon...28 barrels on the bottom row, then 24 on the second row, 15+ 8+3= 78. Thats 78 400 pound barrels? 31,200 lbs!! -That- trucks hauling 16 TONS?!?!?! My buddy goes, "Mike, those are empty barrels." LOL
Here is a vintage picture from Lancaster County. It is of Stauffer's of Kissel Hill, near Lititiz, PA. It was started as a road side farmers market by a Mennonite family and has grown into a huge store. Wife and I went shopping there this past week.
edit: founders and owners were not any relation to me or I'd be in the grocery business!
The Coast Guard station in Sault Ste. Marie had a Dodge Power Wagon. It was very cool like the one in your picture. Too bad it wasn't available when my dad was retiring--but then I'd probably be on a Dodge forum.

Merry Christmas.

And we wouldn't have the pleasure of knowing you.
Isn't it strange how one's life affects so many other lives?!
Oh wow, that REO with Holmes wrecker is too cool. And with Spoksteel wheels on it too. Stu
That appears to have the optional wheel lift on it too. I had that same body on a early 50's Dodge truck, complete will all accessories and adapters. I bought it from the original owner.
