Smile 57-58 Ford speedometers

The speedometer on those models goes past 120, if you look closely there are 2 more dots not numbered but mean 125 & 130.
A friend had a 58 Fairlane 2 door with the gold “Interceptor” on the glove box. 352, 4 barrel dual exhaust.
There was a a place where we buried the needle a few times. I guess we are on borrowed time!

Here is one from my own past that I can add.
It was a family vacation to he Trinity Alps resort in northern CA circa 1960. They had cabins along a beautiful stream that could be rented, a general store, bingo night, swimming during the hot days and fishing too.
We went as a family for one precious week every summer for many years.
The first year I went, I was 3 years old, and was too scared to go in the cold water. My "happy place" was to hose off the '56 Ford Ranch Wagon my parents had. Several times a day if I recall.
That was the same trip that the generator stopped generating in Red Bluff on the way from Oakland. I have vague images of the repair shop that fixed it while we had lunch.
One of my earliest memories and I'm 64 now! I learned to like swimming in rivers. By the time I was 12 I would be gone all day up that stream by myself fishing and swimming.

The door art on the Mercury wrecker, above, doing the wheelie says Maple Ridge and the license plate is BC, Canada, it inspired me to look for other photos and I found this picture of a parade in Maple Ridge c1949.

Looks like you can buy the image on ebay and amazon. The ebay listing says it's from a 1953 photoshoot.
