I looked at mine and it looks just like yours without the gold emblem Pirate4x4. So I guess that means I have to unscrew it. It's 99 degrees here! UGH!

Without the gold emblem meaning it sez superchips but is not gold colored ?
As Tom said, knowing the exact code will help with this immensely. Keep in mind most part store freebie check machines won't pull every nitty gritty code
You need to have the codes read, and the parts stores in California no longer will read trouble codes for free, but even if they did, they don't have the scanners that will read the diesel related codes, so if you have a glow plug that's bad, or your Glow Plug Control Module (GPCM) is bad, your truck will still run fine, but you'll have an activated SES light all the time.
I've had a bad glow plug in the Ex for almost 4 years now that keeps my light activated.
OK all, thank you so much for helping me out with this! Hubs is going out to get a photo. Regarding your question about the Superchips emblem, it's not on there at all. The smog cert dude that reset my computer said I have to travel 50 miles before my computer recovers it's memory? I have no idea if that's accurate or not. I haven't driven 50 miles since he reset my fault codes in any case and my CEL has not come on again. We attached some photos of my Ex and the computer.
Yes, the computer stores a history of fault codes for 50-100 miles.
Tip, Do not exceed about 3/4 throttle for the next 50 miles or so.
If it does have an old reflashed chip they typically only tripped codes at full throttle.
Ya, I've gone 50+ miles now and no light but then I shut it off to come back to work. So we'll see whether it comes on next time I start it. That's what happened in the past although I don't recall whether it was after 50 or 100 miles.
On a separate note, Krazee Matt mentioned some bluetooth enabled scan tools so I can get the codes myself. I have researched it on the 7.3L forum and the internet and there are so many threads but not many that deal with the BT technology. Looks like, based on reviews, that BlueDriver is their tool of choice. Do any of you have any thoughts or experience? TopReviews.best - Best OBD2 Scanners 2016
