Good job, you have now graduated to the "I've removed my turbo club". I'll check out that Freeze stuff, thanks for the tip. Post back when everything is back together.
Its a brutal rite-of-passage to join that club...
Congrats on getting it out! When I did mine I had the most trouble getting the lower driver's side nut off the collector. Took me hours with much cursing and mountain dew. I even had to weld up a special wrench and put a cheater pipe on it to get enough leverage to break it loose. Once I broke it loose though, she came right off. That was after I let it soak in PB blaster for 4 days.
It's not rounded off, it's just not a nut, the 18mm won't fit. I'll have to go buya 20mm but would rather not... It has some sort of a channel on the exhaust side of the shaft. I can post a pic if I can figureout how...
Yeah, I'd been spraying all of the bolts for about a week before I started... Just missed the rear drivers side... That freeze off made all the difference.
from the look of it the only thing I would have to do is install my WW2 and the exhaust housings... I found the mounting bolts on dieselorings.com for $24.95, a little high for blots... does anybody have any other sources/ideas?
Started a new thread on this issue. Late model 7.3 center cartridge does not fit 95 impeller housing, and the late model 7.3 impeller housing doesn't fit in the truck due to clearance issues.
