Boat is fixed !!!! It ran really good with no issues and I am so happy!!! Now I am just waiting for a call from the recruiter to hear if I got the job at Yancey.
Well dodge was very weird on their equipement they offered and when they installed. The VIN for my truck has always stated Ive had a 8.25 inch chrysler rear end. Today, going to install my locker, turns out I have a 9.25 rear end. Be in mind Ive owned this truck since new. I feel so stupid, but Im justified since a 2wd 4.7 Dakota should have come with the 8.25. Only RT and 4x4 had the 9.25, but after today I find this and all my previous knowledge to be ****.
So Ive been on the phone with people and making return labels for the parts I had for the said 8 inch.
Good thing though, I have actually made out on the deal. After returning bearings, seals, and fluids and purchasing the correct stuff, I came out with more cash.
A plus side though is the 9 inch is supremely stronger as I know guys throwing 900 or more and havent broke them yet.
Minor issue, but I have the new parts coming. With the holiday it set me back a day. Good thing I have 2 other back up vehicles for the week.
But my dodge is disabled until then. I played with the ford too, tomorrow morning I shall try to play more with it. But might be spending tomorrow and sunday with the woman. I might say screw it and take 2 days to her and myself without tinkering with a vehicle
I slept in till 9 Sunday. Got up and was lazy, then left to go see the woman. Fun weekend. Gwinnett braves game and tubing in Helen. Relaxing. Much needed
