It was for Yancey Bros, the test next week is for them too. Went to my 2 VA appointments and that should be the last of it to finish my packet. I wonder how long until I get a final percentage rating. Sleep test is next wednesday so I may have something else to add to it. Slow traffic on the way back north but at least it wasn't stop and go.

No official offer yet but I am pretty confident I have a position with them. It's going to be a huge relief when I am locked in. Looks like my 401K is going to take a huge hit today. Throwing some water on the front yard grass because it is starting to get a little crunchy from all the heat and no rain.

Got the old fuel pump with no problems, the push rod fell down and I could not push it back up against the crank so I had to pull the mounting plate, I got it half back in but had to take a break from the heat and sun. My shirt is soaked with sweat.

The new fuel pump is in. The last time I changed the oil I added 5 qts of oil, I just got done sucking out 9 qts of an oil and fuel mixture. Still have to change the oil filter and then I will be ready to fill and check her out.
Staying inside today is smart but all my chores are outside. plus it helps with keeping the stomach flat..

Opened all the flaps on the carb and the intake was bone dry so it's not dripping fuel into the engine. Changed the oil and filter again after installing the new fuel pump. I then ran her on the muffs for about 30 minutes, checked the timing and adjusted the carb just a hair. She keeps a constant oil pressure of 45 psi at idle, about 60 psi running and she never cuts out.
Before she would run about 5 minutes really good and then would start to run really bad, choke and cough and want to cut off. Shut her off and she was very hard to get to restart SOOOOOOOOOO I think I have it fixed!!!!! May attempt another try on the water tomorrow.

I picked up the welding job part time, commission based instead of friday and weekend deal. More money in the pocket.

oh yeah. We talked about a visit. So we will see what happens later this year. Right now I am focused on working to gain as much capitol as I can and get both trucks ready for that trip out there
