Man, I broke out my pressure washer today and tried to get the bugs off the front of the truck... Yes, lotsa bugs coming up from the south. I have no idea what these bugs are, but they are tough as steel... I used almost a full tank of gas in the PW and got about 80% of them off, but the rest are really being difficult. I spent a couple hours with Bug & Tar Remover, then Wd40.. I'm about 95% done and hope that the WD40 will loosen the rest by tomorrow..
So what does everyone use on their chrome etc up front to help keep the bugs from welding themselves on?
Keep everything waxed and they come right off with the pressure washer

No clue how to prevent them from being welded on, but they come off with wet dryer sheets. Yeah, I know...sounds nuts...but it works. Take a wet dryer sheet and slowly get to work. Something about the fabric softener works the bugs free better than anything I've tried.
Good evening guys.
Did a little lighting upgrade tonight on the truck.
Looks real good Mike! I need to do some lighting upgrades on mine as well.

Sounds like too much work. I will stick to my pressure washer.
Thanks for the tips guys.. I should have waxed all the chrome before the trip - but it's naked like the day it was deivered to me.
I wish I had a water heater in my shop - hot water would be great!
I will try the dryer sheet tomorrow after I wash off the WD40 I wiped it all down with.
