ChiefM - not sure if you have seen my membership request or not.

Thanks for your service. I was in the Army, 14B/reclassed 51R, 864th Engr Btn Washington State Ft Lewis. Got out in 1995 (Desert Shield/Desert Storm/Haiti), now disabled vet. Man when I got out having to clear housing was the real pain in the butt! Good luck!

No need to thank me, 4 months and I will be retired!!! Sorry for the delay but I approved your request!!

Went to my final counselor meeting today so the slf-tap portion is done!!! Have to go back one day next week and drop the med records off to the VA guy to look over for my claim.

Going by the pick a part in Columbus when I go back and see if they have a trunk seal and a few odds and ends I am looking for.

axelgawn- you have no idea, I seem to get overwhelmed sometimes as it seems to be never ending.

If you have not done it already make a copy of your records. The VA is bad about losing stuff.

Are there still upholstery shops around? It seems like a dying art in Middle GA. I remember Toles but not many others that did auto upholstery.

Hugh, do you think that yard might have some seatbelt hardwar?. I would love to have those 76 and up 3 point seatbelt covers for my dent. Any of you guys got a welder and or good at welding? I am trying to figure out how I would mount it in the cab. I do want that form of safety in my truck once I start using it more.

I have welded in the past but it has been many a moon since then.

This afternoon I installed the second pump for the hot tub, fixed the blower air connector and put in a new bluetooth stereo!!! It is back to 100% functional again!!! Everything is new so I should not have to worry about it for a while.

The is an upholstery shop here in Thomaston, they are good and reasonable.

Anybody need a setup of standard low mount mirrors, do not need them any more.

Manual fold instead of power, but power, heat and turn signal

Jacob, sorry for the families loss. I'm a firm believer that they go to a better place, no pain or sorrow. Safe travels up, and back.

Here is the orginal thread

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-complete.html

My parts list remember had straight manual mirrors.

Mirrors

Defrost switch. A toggle switch will work. This switch

I used a mirror switch for an 07 SD because it had fold . I order it before mirrors came in.

7 different color 16 gauge wire 15 ft of each enough to build both lt and rt harnesses.

3/16 steel rivets

Notes

I only had a hammer and vise grips to bend metal. I should have made the tabs longer.

I did not work on anything this weekend. I took the wife and little guy to Florida to visit grandma. Going to run by and pick up a pinion seal for the lightning today and install it this weekend. I need one for the motor home but I am also going to pull the cover and change the oil in it too while I am under there.
