Getting my caffeine fix and then fixing to hit it hard and heavy.
They already told me I was going to have some real good stuff so I had to have a driver.

The new pinion seal is in, I also fixed some loose exhaust and had to repair some wood that goes along the bottom and holds in the access doors. The new wood really stiffened things up and the doors are working great again. Took me a ton longer than I expected especially since I had to fix the wood and didn't get to the awning or the aux generator. Good thing is neither one are show stoppers. Just glad it is done and mobile again before the rain comes tomorrow. I am beat and realized I am not a spring chicken anymore.

Onan emerald,
I think there is an issue with the fuel pump and I am sure the carb needs either cleaning or rebuilt after not working for years now. 3 years ago I got it to fire off for a second on starting fluid so the engine itself is good, or was.
Going to try and pull the awning roller tube off today if the rain holds off for a while and see if I can figure out what is going on with the springs. I would like to get the awning fixed before we go on our trip as the Florida summer sun can be killer.
Going to check voltage to it, PO seemed to think there was a problem with the board. I was thinking of grafting in a 12v cr pump if thats the only problem, saw it on the classic winnebago site.
Thunder, lightning and misting right now so it looks like an inside day.

Make sure you are sitting down when you check prices for ginny parts.

Hey everybody, sorry I have been away, work has kept me busy these past few weeks. But, hopefully, I will get some work in on the 50 here soon. I was planning on soft mounting in my 85 Jag front suspension, but now am leaning towards hard mounting(welding it in). It will get me an inch or two lower in the front. Hope all is well with everyone.

Took the motorhome into town today and got the front end aligned. It drove like a dream on the way home till the transmission took a dump on me. Only good thing is I was only a block from home and my neighbor pulled me up the driveway to the house. Unfreaking believable, guess it's better that it went out today than on the way to the beach. Guess we are now going to just get a room as I am not going to try to be in a big rush to to fix it.
Good news is the pinion seal I just put in doesn't leak.
Well I feel *******. Went to start the truck today No Oil Pressure on either gauge but truck sounded ok. Did a post in the IDI forum about it. The suggestion was to pulthe sender check for oil. Pulled the turbo feed had oil, pulled the sender had oil, disconnected the line had oil. That when I found the problem that I created last week and did not realize it. When pulling the vacuum lines out I pulled two wires out of the connectors I thought both were for glow plugs. Actually one was oil pressure sending unit wire. Problem found on electrical gauge. Now on to the mechancal side. Disconnected both end of tube could not blow thru it. Found the problem was created last week when I was taping up some excess wiring for the boost /egt. I ended up putting a kink in the line. Untaped everything rerouted line good oil pressure again
dropped the knuckles off to have the king pin bushings reamed out for the king pins. Found me a good machine shop, good ole southern boys, know their ****. Dirty shop, but impressive stuff.[/QUOTE
Do you know if that shop does anything with drive shafts? I know with a new transmission I will need to shorten my two piece driveshaft and possible put a different yoke on it. I wish I knew how to fab stuff for my build. This outsourcing is getting pricy :/
I will ask next time im in there. They are a pretty nice size machine shop
