Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 43.9°, lots of rain coming down and like Chris said, Hazardous Weather Alert - High Wind Warning. Apparently we aren't going to get the wind until around 1600 this afternoon.
I've done the axle U Joints and the tie rods on another pickup I had before. Never had to do the Power Steering Box. They consider it in the "yellow zone" right now. Miniscule amount of movement, didn't look all that bad to me. I haven't noticed anything wrong with the power steering but Leo says there is just a bit of side to side play in it. I could see very little, I think. Anyway, not something they think needs to be done right away, just another future project. Plus my sister is going to have to get her junk out of the shop at the farm as I'm not going to do this in the driveway at home. Tires are even across the board with tread depth matching - not even a hint of uneven wear.
Good morning Oregon, happy Hump Day! Jim, just replaced my axle u-joints and ball joints last fall. Looks like my steering box is next on the list, steering is getting kind of sloppy.
Don't blame the "steering" on the truck........Drinking fewer "Tall" ones on the way home will help.........
Good evening Ford fans'. Made it home from work crab walked some of the drive with the winds starting to howl, if I'm not back later the power went out.
The wind really came up tonight......not near as bad as what you guys got tho.
Been blustery all day.
Went in and renewed my concealed handgun license this afternoon. The local sheriff's office seems pretty efficient.....I was in and out in less than 10 minutes...
Simpler to do this than renew my drivers license last summer....I didn't even need my birth certificate........unlike the DMV.....
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Just getting home. Took the Warden in for her appointment at the Cardiologist, then down to the lab to check her blood viscosity. After that we went to Jimmy Johns for lunch. Told them it would be my last trip in until they put a Ford on the track. Blank Stares in return.
Then we stopped and saw the MIL. Kind of lethargic, but with it enough to suck down a strawberry milkshake in record time and then demand to be taken to Idaho.
From there we traveled to Newberg, stopped by the boat mechanics shop and continued on to St. Paul and then to Salem via the "scenic" route. We did hit some real heavy rain and wind going down through there. From Salem took the scenic route through the farm country and ended up at the farm then took mother into Dallas for dinner.
I think we missed all the wind here. Got an inch of rain so far. Had some wind out on the farm, trimmed a few trees, but here, just 3 or 4 miles away as the bird flies, the highest recorded gust was 11 MPH.
