Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Clear, sunny 63 on its way to 90? Humidity has been up around 83% this morning, but is finally starting to drop some.
Been on the phone with the friend in Montana that mother is visiting at the DJ Bar Ranch. They had to take mother into the Urgent Care Clinic in Belgrade this morning. Seems to be O.K. now, but it is sure a long ways to go if I have to go get her and bring her home. Wonder what other wonderful idea's my sister has up her sleeves.

I have the solution for warm weather.
Old water trough+folding work bench+4x4 blocks+ac too big for the window+pink duct tape
It would only go down to 60 and the ac would kick off. Relocated the temp sensor so now it is 100% duty cycle. We have the office at 52 and falling

Lowe's estimator actually got here 30 minutes early. His estimate came in right at what I told the Warden to expect so no surprises there. I was hoping to be surprised by a lower figure....
I told him their competitor disappointed me with a "no call-no show". He told me it was nothing to worry about. Seems he is a disabled vet himself and says HD has never ever been able to beat him on a quote, especially to a fellow disabled vet....
His quote included all new end flashing, roof vents, ridge vents gable end vent - resized to accept power vent when I get around to putting it in, Owens Corning 45 shingle - lifetime warranty, 130 MPH rating as well as some other things that I probably would have tried to repaint/recycle if I were doing it myself.
Home Depot never has responded to my email or phone call to them. Good reason I guess to not do business with them, although my curiosity is kind of piqued as to what their bid would be.
