Pump Timing

Right, but that's assuming they didn't get one with a re-manned IP. My 89 didn't have one stock and my reman has one, for example.

So I did the lift pump

Took out the lift pump... It was weak and nasty, and started to leak -_- oil is ok thankfully.

Still no luck... It went from a decent amount of coal to gray -_-

As for a torque screw, I'm entirely lost, I was referring to the one behind the cover. Pictures of torque screw?

Thats the impression i was under.

Eh

The "fuel screw" being horizontal and all, when twisting it you'd be effectively rotating the Allen towards the radiator.

Half the time... if the "handle" of the allen were pointing down, you would be turning it toward the cab. "IN" is clockwise, aka right handed thread.

If you can get an allen in there such that it's pointing down... I'll ask you what you did with your valley pan.

I did it when i had the pump of and sitting in the vice lol. I was simply saying so theoretically. That said, things are alot clearer when using terms like clockwise / counter clockwise, in / out, vs. toward the radiator, especially when the screw is parralell to the axle, the screw would turn in towards the drivers / left side if anything.
