You have all the fun finds. Looks like a good place to start. Any plans yet?
nope, my father passed away in April so now I am having to deal with my parents property for my mom.
The only one I am keeping is the 49 ford f1 my uncle bought new.
Finally on the road, just waiting on some backed ordered parts (chrome rocker moldings and suspension air bag system) got old school Daisy wheels in mint condition and boy does the car look good.
cut the front springs to see how the car would look, and boy did it make a difference, I kinda like the rake on it but once the bags are installed it will probably live on the ground except for bumps or railway crossings.
So my driver side wheel bearings decided to take a caca, new races and bearing are needed.
The new engine has been running flawlessly, ecept last week when the IPR nut and spacer decided to leave it's partner, and let me stranded in the middle lane of a busy friday 3 lane road, up a hill with a popo behind me

At least you didnt tear up the spindle. Got all my wheel bearings and stuff from Rockkkk Autooo. Not as easy to piece together but a lot cheaper than ordering at kit already put together. At least when I looked. One of the bearings I could not find Timken races to go with the bearings and had to use SKF races.
Yup popo turn his lights since my hazards didn't work, right as he got of his patrol unit the truck started up.
Haven't done nothing with the Merc yet, working on other cars/trucks. Just the other day bought four trucks to fix and re sell.
Right now I'm working on an 03 ford ranger my old man bought that had burnt valves, got some junk yard heads as the ones on the truck the valves were so recessed in the head they were useless, fixable yes, cost effective no.
good thing the JY heads had no cracks (reading thru many forums and asking my budy in the machine shop apparently the 3.0 heads are notorious for cracks, enough so that they sell new heads)

That I don't know yet, haven't taken the rotor off (2wd) just lifted that side and spun the wheel and you can hear the bearing all crunchy and ****.
