I am telling you man, that island we were on is the frickin' twilight zone! I couldn't find coolant I needed, one week to get a water pump, and one week to get a fan clutch tool. Thankfully I got the pump off of Amazon and had to walk my old pump down to the local garage to get the fan/clutch/pulley off to put on the new pump.

My point is that when you did call, I picked up and it screeched in my hear abd then beeped and you were gone...not kidding. I really think the place of Port Aransas is cursed.

Well, a little update since my WP debacle. I could not get the Tstat housing to quit leaking to save my life. It stopped for about a week after we got to the Hill Country, but it reared its ugly head with a drip here and there and just got worse. It was filling up the valley with coolant as a steady stream pours from the back bolt area. So, I finally got a leak fix kit from a very helpful member on here. It came yesterday and I got it put on this morning. After a 3 hour road trip to see family, it is bone dry!! FINALLY! I really think an O-Ring is as much a part of the answer as is the plate.

I got the billet thermostat housing and hose from dieselsite and Darin is helping me put it on Sunday. I've been spraying the bolts, hope they don't break! I also got the filter kit and Ford WP from them.

Yeah the billet housing was going to be my next step if this fix didn't work. Just go slow untorquing them and you should be fine.

Glenn try tightening the bolts slightly before loosening them. That usually seems to help break the steel-aluminum corrosion layer.

Edit: Just realized I'm probably a day or two late on this advice.
