The Cee Ohh Dee Why wasn't able to make it to hang out with us. I invited him, but he had stuff to tend to at home. Anyways, we got it done. I'll let Byron update with his thoughts on the truck. It was a good time as usual. Always nice to turn wrenches and BS. I may have to replace some tools though after butter fingers Byron dropped them about a million times. Lol.

Hey no fair! Those spaces are tight and my hands had oil on them!! Not to mention all of your tools are smooth surfaced!! LOL
Well, in short I am way beyond stoked with Ruby. We had a blast doing it and most of it went off with pretty much no issues. It seriously drives like a new truck. The power is something I'll have to get used to and it runs super smooth. The idle is really smooth as well. I'll know more as far as temps and performance when I tow Monday. Gotta run and eat breakfast. I'll check back in a little bit later with some more information. And yes, Travis likes to work into wee hours of the morning. I'll have some recovering to do today... LOL
Still taking it easy...got loaded up on some brisket and beer and getting ready to nap for a good bit before the A&M game tonight.
Ruby started right up this morning without any issue. Man it just sounds like a different truck. It's just tight and idles like I always dreamed it could. I did hit 30 lbs of boost on my heavy to tune!! Rock on! It is a little scary how frickin fast it is. My EGTs empty are really not bad at all. We could only hit 1500 last night in the extreme race tune REALLY getting on it. I am so stupid happy with it.
Fellas, Travis really is the example of brotherhood. We worked out butts off and had a great time doing it. I feel like I've known him for much longer than a year. He's dam good people and pretty funny. If any of you get a chance to come hang, I highly recommend it. He treated my truck just like it was his own and didn't cut corners. He knows his chit and is willing to share. Not many of those left.
I'll have much more real data when we pull out Monday to head down to the coast of Texas. I'll be able to tell much more how it's going to behave. So far, no issues. All I need to do is get my TS off to Gearhead on Monday.
Also meant to say that the priming/startup process Travis took me through was genius. We didn't hurt the starter and once we had it back together, it took two crank sessions of about 30 seconds and it fired right up. I drove it about 60 miles back to camp and didn't miss a beat. The GPs we pulled out were Beru/Motorcraft and most likely originals. Only one looked very slightly swelled and carboned up. The rest looked just fine. I prolly didn't had to change them, but why not while we were in there? Only made good sense to do so.
Sounds like all is working well, Byron. I'm jealous! I won't lie. great white will be there some day, just gotta take some extra steps to get it there.

Fool that thing started on the first crank after we put the glow plugs back in it! Lmao.
