Phase one complete...install took more time than I thought and had to trim more than I wanted to, but overall the fit and finish is pretty impressive and so far it's working well!
I'll have more real numbers tomorrow after we haul down to Travis's neck of the woods. I am sure it's just me, but the truck sounds different in a good way. Idling has a lower growl to it? I dunno, it definitely runs cooler empty. The only thing I did not like was having to put the transmission cooler behind the bumper in front of one of the air intake openings, but I'll just deal with it for now and see how it works. Only lost a couple pounds of boost too, so overall pretty happy!
You'll have that boost back soon! That IC looks nice. I'll put it on my someday list.
Thanks Rick! Well so far, here's the deal. I am so stoked on this IC!!! I towed the RV down to the Hill Country today and I could not get the truck over 1200* no matter how hard I tried. The only thing I regret is that I didn't do it sooner!! I guess we'll see what happens when we add more fuel to it this coming weekend. All I know is I am on vacation in the Hill Country and I am happy. Beer and BBQ to commence. Stay tuned!
Hi Glenn! I'm ready to point and tell Byron what to do. Lol.
That would be torture for me. You may have to yell at me to let you work on your own truck Byron.
Oh I am ready to work! You may just have to enjoy your Coors Light and suffer! HAHA! Seriously I am just looking forward to some brotherhood, learning, and giving each other chit.
Byron doesn't know this, but I've been basically molesting his injectors and hpop while they sit here waiting to jump in his truck. Lol... you ever just rub your injector solenoids??? And they feel all sexy.... What happened there?
