Greetings from Mississippi!
Hey my son n law has a good runnin but leaky '96 F250. Was his dad's truck. But when local Ford dealer pulls an Oasis, it comes up a '97 F350! Go figure!
Any way I am shortly to peel all the low psi fuel system off the top for a complete reseal & a transfer pump replacement. I also plan to pull the turbo & get rid of the flapper. I may replace the pedestal if I can't figure out how to get the oil outta it. I have the resister to compensate for the missing valve.
I also have water pump & glow plug maint on the schedule also, as any cool weather requires the coolant heater to be used to start.
Any you 7.3 boys see anything I am missing while I'm up there?
Thanks!
Throw in some bellow up pipes, get rid of the leak prone fuel system and go E-fuel. Make sure you only used FoMoCo glow plugs, I would leave the EBPV and reseal the pedestal, it's a good feature if you plan on towing as you can use it as an exhaust brake. While at it install a billet turbo wheel from SPturboost, KC turbos or Riffraff.
Be weary of "OEM parts" online like Amazone or eBay as there's counterfeit **** floating around.
