What turbo will clean-up 530's
Aside from my romping issue...
I'm gonna need a new turbo. Not that there's anything wrong with the one I've got, it won't do what I NEED it to do.
With the switch from stage 2 singles to true 530's, this TN is NEVER going to move the air these injectors need. When I did the stage two's a couple of years ago we made a pedistal and up-pipes for a gt42 but I thought it would be too much turbo for the stage two's, but is it enough for the 530's?
Currently the truck IS A BEAST, but the EGT's are out of control.
Thanks!

Check out Wide Open Performance for some big turbos. I know that Jody Tipton has one on his truck and he runs 530's. www.wideopenperformance.net

Wide open states that the WOQS is 'their own' hybrid. Anyone know what they use to make this 'hybrid?' Their website is very limited on information, no flow numbers, nothing.
Will the 42 I've got clean 'em up? I've seen the combo in race trucks with nitrous but in a daily driver/work truck. What would the EGT's be like? It wouldn't take much to finish where we left off, I only lack an intake Y and a CAC tube... easy stuff!
This first start of the day romp, romp, romp has me bugged for now.

GTP42 its what i was considdering, but i have no acces to get good guy to weld stuff up for me, so i end up geting hypermax H2E kit, with stage3 MiniMee's, lots of power, and the EGT stay put so far, much better than stock setup, i havent see 800* yet when i got on it, and before 800 was the norm under harder acceleration,
finish you project and you have plenty of Wind for stage4 injectors with that turbo, and you can always upgrade the housing with bigger one,

Probably going to go with the 42 since it's sitting on the workbench and 80% complete.
Are you suggesting a 45 housing? I've got a stout bottom end that can sustain some serious pressure, IMO
I make 35-36 lbs now like nothing, seen over 40, always have with the TN, but it sure spools quicker with this kind of fuel behind it.
Right now I can see 1200 degrees through third gear with the TN and in the 80e setting, in the 100(daily) setting it comes to 1200 degrees before third gear. Hot, hot, hot. But then in the 60t I never saw 900 but of course haven't towed anything. This was driving it like I stole it. Stayed around 750-800 cruising.
It's a completely different truck.

Layson, Looks very familiar, but without the flexies in the up-pipes, and yes a bigger drain. Our pedistal appears much thicker, though. I watched the guy knock it out in an afternoon out of a left over piece of ally. Of course, it took him days to clean it up.
What I'd like to know is what sorta egt's to expect and will I still have this soot monster I have now?

I hope you have a built engine bc if you clean up 530's your going to grenade a forged rod engine. With that said I recommend a 71mm hybrid from beans diesel, it bolts directly on to a hypermax h2e mount and moves enough air to support 600hp. The WOP quickspool does not move NEAR enough air for b codes. Im not very familiar with the gt42, but it should be should be similar in size to the turbo im running.

At Fall Brawl i got to peek around under ThugLike's hood (from TDS )
He has a super "custom" as he puts it, DieselInnovations motor. Every possible thing that can be done, well its done to it he says, except for stacks which i could tell. He is pushing ALOT of fuel, he said over 300cc. He is running a GT42R, or at least he was last fall. Here are some pics of it. He made 565 on fuel only and i believe it cleared up the smoke pretty well.
Oh wait, never mind. Here is a picture of his truck on the dyno..

Kris, Looks cleared-up to me, LOL.
Luke, Crowers and Mahle's (11.5:1), we cryo'ed everything we could. Should hold up, but the shortblock has 192,000 miles on it now, and the heads, 90,000 more! Still seems tight, there aren't any foreign noises just have to get somethings worked out.
Tell me more about Bean's 71mm hybrid... I know nothing of it, but could get VERY interested.

The 71 spools like a stock h2 if not a little easier and is VERY street friendly. However its not a good towing turbo since it does surge some. With this turbo i made 596/ 1200+ on fuel only, didnt get the chance to hit the nitrous. I will be hitting the strip within a few weeks, still waiting on engine to get done.

My goal is 600 streetable horses, IMO anything more and reliabilty is too much of an issue. Hell, some feel that way about 400, others 500 but they're not sporting my bottom end...
