On how to know what tune might be on it. Do you have access to a
tuner or a Snap-On scanner? If you look into the OBD section you should
be able to read what strategy is in the PCM.
Funny thing about the running boards. I need a right one and
it costs the same to ship two as if does for one. They are over length
and you pay extra for that.
On the Fiberglas parts. Unless they work hard at it they can come
out different from each other. The low cost tells me that they may
take some work to fit just right.

Dang, if only you needed a left one, we could split a pair.
The one thing I really remeber from my short time working with fiberglass it is really hard to build up to a square edge to fit. It is much easier to be a little over sized and cut down to fit.
The Ford service writer had a laugh when I told him what I did. I expect the tech did too.
Maybe, I actually came up with a new way to test the hydraulic system! If you leave the plastic cap on and your steering still works, you know something major is wrong with the system. Thank God mine didn't work. Feel free to use this innovation if you need to.
