I like the reel too, think Rodney did one in his trailer too. But, like Lonewolftx, I've got nowhere to put one. So I have to wrestle the beast all the time. Did get a 50-20A adapter for use at the house though.
I could install one IF I knocked the bottom out of the generator enclosure. I have hated that from day one. Why would you put an unsupported bottom in there? Not to mention waste 6" of space below it on a trailer that lacks outside storage to begin with. Not even sure how to go about it as there's no access to the right side whatsoever.
nice, I've seen those reels in electric 12v too Roy
your trailer is dirty
The powered ones are too expensive for this guy........

I use a 30A cord most of the time too.......This way the 50A cord is ready anytime I need it, without having to move everything that is on top of it.
The storage compartment in the photo is the smallest of 3 outside compartments.

Me three. I do have good sized storage, but it is taken up with containers. Maybe I can figure out a way someday.

Went to a RV show a few weeks ago. There was a 30' TT there with zero outside storage. Nothing. Not a single access. How in the world do you design something like that?
Went to the Housron RV show Wednesday & several of the reals were on 5th wheel rigs as demo. Mostly big rigs using the 50 amp setup. Goes until 5 pm mañana.

Just like Gerry said, somebody that's not a camper. But someone should have had enough of a brain to catch it somewhere.
Only outside storage on ours is under the U dinette, its a big area, but the door is only about 8"x30". I can just squeeze the kingpin stabilizer in there. I have the generator compartment also as I don't have the built in genny, but they didn't add any reinforcement under the tin floor, so it can't take much weight. I was hoping I could stash and EU2000i in there, but not as is. Other than that I have enough room next to the battery for the water hoses.
I do believe I have convinced myself to knock the bottom out of the lame gen compartment box and have more (solid) space to work with. The generator mount sits about 1" below the box floor. I've drilled/ cut/ rewired/ added a/c's and holes in the roof, why not cut the floor out of a silly little box?
You guys are making me sick. I trudged through the snowdrifts this morning to give my camper and boat a hug to let them know i haven't abandoned them during winter storage.

Lol. I'm just dreaming right now. Camper has been at the dealer for the past month. Unfortunately, hanging around here has me dreaming of ways to spend more money on it once I bring it home!
