if you guys were going to replace your front windsheild, were would you get it from, and were would you get the rubber from?
second question- i currently don't have a rear sliding window, but i want one were would you guys get one and the rubber, will other years work and will the rubber from other years work?
this will before a 73 f100 standerd cab.
I got the front and rear seals from Bronco Graveyard for my '78. Had no trouble with the fit or seal on either of them. Had the windshield put in by Iowa Glass. They came to me and put the windshield in. The guy grumbled a bit when he saw I had the stainless trim that went in the windshield seal. I think windshield and labor was around $175.
I got new glass installed for $300 CAD... Not new rubber. I have a couple little leaks, but I figure I'll find some sealant that goes in real thin, and seal it up. Everything is more expensive up here in Canada...

The rear slider and gasket I would go to my parts shed for and the windshield and gasket would come out of my 79/78 parts truck. Got a spare solid rear and gasket, 2 complete passenger door glass and hardware and 1 drivers door includes wing windows for all 3. Saves me from calling LMC or risking breakage in shipping. Would rather chew my arm off than throw out something I might need, probably why I have a spare rear wall from a 89 cab. I was going to use commercial window glazing when I put in my window to see how it works.

Ya, when I ordered my windshield gasket and a windshield from a local glass shop, they were relieved when I said no trim, just black rubber gasket. They said that the plain gasket ropes in easily, but with trim, the windshields have to be Pryed in and a PITA. I do know the guy who installed my windshield and gasket in my 77 which had the narrow locking strip, was a pain for the guy.

Yep. I was quite impressed with their service. I'm gonna call them again for my crew cab. He might have grumbled a little but he got it done and I never had any leaks or anything. That and I thought they might charge more for it, but I was happy to pay what I did. I talked to another guy that has his own windshield business and he would only put it in if I got the trim in first.
Dude locally just came by my work and did it yesterday. broke the original trying to get it out.. then broke the new one trying to get it in the original gasket... but the new gasket he put in and shield look niiiice. i just watched while drinking coffee.
