Hello, and a very happy new year to all members. I have a 1950 F1, the windshield rubber seal is a bit tatty and I would like to change it for a new one. Am I right that the 51 and 52 trucks had the windshield rubber with the chrome insert all around the external edge.. I would like to have this type on my truck to give it a bit of sparkle. Does anybody know that if I order the rubber trim and chrome trim it will still fit the original windshield ?. Or maybe the different rubber seal means that the glass is a different size on the later models ?.
The cabs for the 48-52 US models were basically the same. The differences were with the dash from 48-50 versus the 51 & 52 with the rear window also being larger for those same last years.
It's news to me that the stainless trim is reproduced. I would be curious to know how well they're made and how they fit. Decent used ones were selling for around $200.
It was not a standard feature of the 51-2 trucks, but part of the deluxe "Extra Cab" package. The exterior items in addition to the windshield moulding were additional hood side trim spears and stainless vent window dividers, plus the drivers door lock. It should fit fine in the 48-50 trucks, as well. Give it a shot and give us a review.

Yes, I have been searching the internet and did not find this company. I wonder if they are any good ?. Has anybody else out there had experience of this product please. The problem for me is going to be the shipping cost back to the UK.
I would try Rubber the Right Way www.RubberTheRightWay.com - the guys are great. I would send them an email with what you need. They carry rubber parts & weatherstrip and likely have the trim as well. I have used them for over 10 years on multiple projects, They are honest, fair & helpful.
