No, when we find these sales we buy for the year.
We also have a gas grill in the back yard, but I prefer my Smoker.
Now to get stocked back up with some Hickory

dads got gas one but leaves the meat kinda tasteless to me... i also got one but its for camping..
That does sound like your ready for a new grill. We usually get these $300 smokers from the hardware stores and get about 5 years out of them.
I'd really like one of the heavy duty boys that cost a couple of grand, but that isn't in the budget.
Hope everybody is having a decent week so far, and the long stretch is almost over
Taking off shortly to head out to Garner, today is the Grand Opening of the new Cabelas Store
Sparky, I have the char-grille version from lowes. I've also added the smoker box. I've had it about 7 years or more. I usually smoke a few chickens a year, and use it as a grill most of the time. The only thing with it, is it uses iron grates. I've replaced them one time, but learned how to keep them seasoned.
Oh and this past week I learned I should take the charcoal tray out before smoking pork, as it catches the fat, so when I tried to cook burgers on direct heat, the fat caught fire, and I had to let it burn off. I'll be cleaning that before grilling again.

Be safe out there. No way I'd be any where near that place today. They have set up satellite parking and are going to be running shuttles all day. Should be stupid hectic. I'll wait and let the dust settle. I live right down the road and can go any time. Enjoy the madness. Give us a report if you survive.
Well Tim and I DID make it out to Cabelas. We should have known when the parking lot is closed and overflow parking was 1 mile down the road, and as you mentioned James, 2 buss' running people back and fourth.
After an hour we were sitting in a bus, made it to the parking lot only to see another line that literally, wrapped the parking lot, and yes, the store was open.
Well, I know when I've been whipped, so we got back on the bus, defeated
Hope everybody's having a decent week.
In order to get my tool box in the shed, we had to take out all of the drawers, then Josh and I had to lift one end of the box on the lower half of the back porch in order to get a straight shot going into the single wide door to the shed.
Later Tim and I worked at putting the drawers back into the cabinet. And did we empty the drawers in order not to damage anything? No, no we did not.
We did end up damaging two sets of ball bearing tracks, one on each drawer. I ordered them from two different Snap On tool reps and each told me the same thing, "Have them in a couple of weeks" and pay for them when they come in.
Well that has been since September. So this last Monday I called Snap On customer service and told them what happened and she sent them out under warranty
Since then I found out that the box I have KRL "Master Series" has lifetime warranty on it's parts.
So needless to say, my tool box is back together

That's great news. Glad to hear it's back in one piece, and under warranty to boot. Can't get better than that.
G'Morneneverybody Just checking in before I take off for Wake Forest for the morning. I found another person that has been looking for another person to play guitars. Killed a few hours last Friday and hoping to get a few more in today, then home to get some Chicken Thighs covered in rub so they can get out in the grill later for dinner tonight.
Y'all be safe, it's finally Friday
Just checking in, pretty quiet here, but it's that time of the year to get busy.
Looks like the highlight of my day is mowing the lawn, and need to get my toolbox cleaned up and find the cover I have somewhere in the shed. May have to hit the store and get something to put in the smoker this weekend, if I'm not rained out.
Y'all have a good weekend
