What a day.... we were moving a old wooden building and the concrete pad it was on today. Got soaked in this morning thunderstorms. Then moved the concrete slab to find snake eggs, one of which up busting and splattering me in the face, also watched one hatch. Definitely little cotton mouths. Made for a very interesting day.
We had a pretty good day yesterday. We helped a Deaf, American Bulldog named "Stewie" get to his new home in Virginia. My son Tim, and our own FordxFour "Marty" road with us. Stewie licked on Marty's head until it was soppen wet.
I'm doing another tomorrow morning, picking up a young German Shepherd named Malcom at a shelter in Fayetteville, and dropping him off with another driver in Raleigh. He'll be at his new house in Virginia Beach VA later that day.
I really enjoy working with the rescues. The more I get around some people, the more I love dogs.

G'Mornen everybody
I'm heading out of the house in the next 45 minutes or so. Heading out to Fayetteville to pick up a German Shepherd that is in a kill shelter and take him to Raleigh. He should be at his new house late this afternoon in Virginia Beach VA.
I need to clean the inside of the truck out too. Between putting my spoiled boy "Rocky" in there if I'm just doing errands around town, and a few rescues dogs, my carpet is getting a little "Hairy" in the back.
Works had me non-stop since the race. It's what you get for taking a couple of days off. Still it's nice to have the weekend. Got some Rib Eyes for the grill tonight, plus some beer left over from the race.
However all the Apple Pie I took disappeared. Imagine that. also happened to get interviewed on TV due to the bar we had there.
Mornen everybody
What's everyone doing today?
I've got to get the vacuum out and do the inside of the truck. Between my own spoiled four legged passenger that is in there often, and two rescue trips this week it's getting "Pretty Hairy" back there.
But first a trip to the store for either a couple of Baby Back Ribs, or a nice Pork Shoulder to get covered in dry rub for a few hours, and then in a smoker.
Rode to church this morning with some friends, then too newbern to grab lunch. Of course we had to take the long way back home. Got home and washed up the bike, it was getting pretty dirty from riding it to and from work last week in the rain.
