The danger of allowing these tires to be underinflated is due to the steel corded sidewalls. When underinflated, the steel in the sidewall flexes back and forth too much (approximately 650 times a minute at 60 mph), which like bending a tin can back and forth too many times, fatigues the steel and causes it to separate. A rapid increase in pressure, such as when re inflated, can be the "final straw" that precipitates a catastrophic zipper failure that can cause injury or death to the person inflating the tire up close.

This is why one has to use an inflation cage when inflating a tire that has been deflated below a given percentage below it's rating. And, Ford recommends a clamp on inflator with a minimum 6 foot extension hose for routine inflation, even when the tire has been maintained above the minimum inflation pressure.

Load Range E tires have a wider margin of operational pressures, given that they do not have steel cords in the sidewalls, only on the tread belts. This was probably one of the reasons Ford dialed back to LRE tires in the 2011-2014 F-450 pickup. But the market wanted the big 19.5" tires, so Ford returned to them in 2015. The 19.5 tires are not a bed of roses however. There is a good argument for sticking with an F-350 dually if the rated capacity is enough for the intended load.
I tried to look at your profile to see if it said something other than 350. but no info three.

In talking w/ the reason the front tires, on my truck setup, is 75 lbs. is due to the load on them. I weight the truck off the lot as follows:

• Frt axel. 5,189 lbs
• Rr axel 3,769 lbs
• GVWR 8,949 lbs today
• Max GVWR is 14,000 lbs.

So the rear are set at 65 lbs until it is loaded up and then the progression noted by BF Goodrich comes into play. I have the factory heavy tow package. I now understand the other prior post about going from 70 lbs to 75 lbs as this might have something to do with the heavy front end.

Also my pin weight is noted at 3,775 lbs.

For what it's worth, I was told if ordering one now, it'd be close to a 17 already. That was last week.

The new truck for 2017 has a projected launch of 4th quarter 2016, almost in time to be a 2017 model.
I wouldn't be surprised if the 2016 is available to order until July of 2016.

No, it slated for late 3rd quarter 16. If it came out late 17, it would be an 18. Anything made after June is the following model year.

Yeah - that's what I meant

But, I can't find anything other then "late 2016", thats's why i went with 4th quarter. I can't find anything definitive on the net as to the release date, surprising since with all the pre launch stuff I would have thought moat everything is set to go.

Concur, I order my 15 in Oct, got it 24 Dec, they were still taking orders.

Generally: Starting in the 70's almost every car I have owned has been an ordered car and I generally traded every 2 years, since I always had two cars this meant ordering every year.

NO, far from being rich, I was single and I traveled locally a lot in my business...excuses that you car is broke down generally led to the lack of a job.

There is no real fixed calendar for cutoff, its market driven tied in with new releases, models, availability of new engines etc etc etc etc. There are some years that are not even produced, instead they just carry on with the same model year, usually tied in with a major change and tooling and manuf requirements. There have been times that one could order as late as April. Generally the cycle time is about 6 weeks but can be longer or shorter depending.

Actually there are regulations that determine model year cutoffs. It has to do with sales tracking, Vin, and other reasons. There are legal hardlines. Also, I'm telling you guys what Ford told me. They have major retooling to do at the plant and will end production early.

I picked up my F450 a couple weeks back and enjoying. I have done a few modifications to my liking. When I bought the truck the wheel flares in the back were chipped from rocks real back so I decided to Linex the flares. And I did not like the two tone from the King Ranch so I went wild and LineX the rocker panels too.

There is a before picture when I bought it and after pictures now.

There are some regulations (for legal purposes, "model year" are given in US federal laws, including 42 USC 7521(b)(3)(A), 26 USC 4064(b)(4), and 49 USC 32901(a)(15).

for regulation purposes they allow cars of a given model year to be sold starting on January 1 of the previous calendar year: A 2017 model year vehicle can legally go on sale on January 1, 2016.

Cut off dates for ordering and starting/stopping of production is determined by a myriad of things that impact manufacturing, sales cycles, tooling, parts availability and the list goes on and on. Its not done by regulation(s). The regs are consumer based that insures you are getting the model year you are buying. This is due to the model years following the clothing sales cycles of the early 20th century (started by GM and still followed to this day). These govern buying a model year in a different year.

Paso,
Can you confirm your tire size please. I can not find where Cooper make a 265/80-17, only a 25/80-17. I have been looking at those.

How is the noise level ?

Thank you
