I put in the Sylvania Super Star and I like them, I wanted something easy without going to HID. On past trucks I have used them and noticed they last about a year to year and a half so I just carry a spare with me. If I need more light I will add Hellas to the front. I think Sylvania has the Ultras but I have not tried them.
I have installed the Ultras and they seem much better than the cheap oem bulbs to me. It is an easy upgrade and not that expensive. I also installed KC lights on the front powered by upfitter switch # 4 for those roads that have no street lights(a lot of them around here).
Going out today and hit some of the auto supply stores to see what I can find, if nothing else, I will at least pick up a couple of Bic lighters and mount them on my ranch hand bumper, I know they are brighter than Dim and Dimmer...

Sailor, I gots ta ask....you being a career sailor an all, what in the world are you doing in Montana and don't tell me you went for the water?
I miss the Ocean a bunch.
I came here to get away from the heat & humidity of the East coast. It was really bothering me. I wanted to stay away from the big cities. I do like the 4 seasons. I do Not want Salt on the roads in the winter.
So, here I am. Fits everything except, no Ocean. Lakes and rivers....
Might have to look at Alaska........

You might not have an ocean, but just over the mountain to the west, you have Flathead Lake! The largest natural freshwater lake west of the great lakes, and just east of you, you have the Fort Peck Reservoir. Both could be "mini" oceans!

I was stationed at Ft Monroe Va, my house was directly across from Navy, Norfolk, my home on the water.
One of the most awe-inspiring sights of my life is seeing at Navy carrier come into port. One cannot imagine the size of one of these ships until you know you are seeing it from a few miles away. If anyone ever gets the chance to view a US Navy carrier its a bucket list thing I assure you...and when you see it, know that its the index finger on the free worlds right arm, the middle finger is a US Navy Sub, Thor's hammer!

Way off topic here, but when I was traveling with my parents back in 1974-75 around America for a year, I visited every naval museum I could get too. WWII has always been a huge interest of mine.
I visited the USS Massachusetts, North Carolina, Alabama, Texas, Constitution, several smaller ships, and one carrier that I cannot remember the name. At that time she was a museum/training ship somewhere on the southeast coast.
I can't let the wide hip thread fade into obscurity.
I am hoping to get my other homemade rock guard for the DS fuel WS and filter system and my new FS air bag systems installed today. What are all you wide hipers doing today?

Let's see, last night I replaced my low profile across the bed tool box with my taller/larger across the bed tool box. Now I need to raise my 5th wheel hitch one bolt hole higher for clearance on tight turns (I think).
Then I'm in a holding pattern waiting on parts. Blapensee made me up a High Idle wire harness which I figure will be in todays mail. So I will get around to that either today or tomorrow I hope. My Bodiak front receiver hitch is sitting at the Mesquite UPS location waiting for delivery on Monday. Would love to wash this dirty beast, but the warmth of the sun just ain't going to be there today for that.
