Am I the only one excited about the looking Snowpocalypse??I'm sort of hoping it shuts down the raleigh area for a day or two, like it did last year, so I can stay up at my fire station for a day and run a few calls and play some rook lol

Oh trust me, me and my partner were driving home in his Grand Marquis from Rocky Mount to Burlington, that night. Took us like 4 hours but we didn't have a problem. I kept looking for zombies to shamble out of the woodline lol.

How about the traffic jam of 2005? That ice started at 3 and by 5 there was no getting around.

I don't know much about that one, I only had my permit and wouldn't have been going outside of alamance county around that time. Had no reason to lol

Yeah, I think it's hilarious too. Of course I feel the same way when people freak out about power outages, calling that an "Emergency situation". Only thing I'm worried about at that point is keeping my food refrigerated/frozen, which normally ain't too hard in the winter lol.

I really wish I had a wood stove, honestly. Normally though my generator just runs my fridge and freezers. The house i live in is luckily pretty well insulated, so it ain't much of a concern. Last snowpocalypse I wasn't even at home except for like the first night, I was working out of town the whole week.

i wish we had one too... our fireplace is useless... does nothing but suck the heat outta the house when its being used... so its blocked off with 2" of insulator foam.. couple of old moving blankets and then put 2 book cases..

Got the snow blower and generator positioned for use, so I should be covered for ice or snow...
