i heard of it doing them on the 6.0's but had never heard of them doing it on the 460's...
ive was planning to change mine on the 6.0 to an external one where it was air/oil vs oil/liquid... theres a kit out there to do it.. just havent had the need yet...
Finally had a few extra minute and went by dmv and passed my motorcycle skills test Wednesday and got my liscense. No more having to worry about looking over my shoulder for cops or worried bout rolling up on a road block. Plus the $15 was alot cheaper than a ticket for riding with out one.
VERY important to monitor the EGR cooler and oil cooler on the 6.0. With an Edge or a scan tool the engine oil temp and coolant temp should be checked frequently. There should be no more than 15* difference between the two. Once it starts creeping up the coolers are stopping up and getting ready to rupture. A new 6.0 is at least $15000 depending where you get it so PLEASE keep it checked or just go ahead and delete that stuff.
My friend Jeff has a 2003 6.0 with over 200k, never had a bolt turned on it. He keeps oil changed every 3000 and has kept coolant changed every year with the Ford Gold coolant. Temps are less than 5* apart every time its checked

Bob, the inserts in this kit are a little different. They're made specifically for spark plugs and are solid inserts, not a spring-type deal. The tap also is a one-process deal, no drilling required. You put the tap on the end of 3/8" drive or a 19mm socket and go to town on the spark plug port. The starter kit is only $35, comes with three different sized inserts also. If you have one of the modular engines, it's definitely advisable to keep the kit and some grease and other associated tools in your vehicle with you, so you can do this on the side of the road, instead of having to drop a couple hundred bucks on a tow bill lol

i plan to get rid of the stock coolers.. I think its got a pinhole leak on the exhaust side atm with as much as it smokes at start up... but waiting till march to confirm it... the conversion i plan to get separates the oil from the coolant.. Has a large passage for the coolant to flow through essentially bypassing how the stock oil cooler ran.. you actually end up deleting the internal one and gets piped externally to a small heat exchanger between the A/C condenser and Radiator.

Yup that license is going to be way cheaper than a ticket, and what a ticket may do to a guy's insurance. I did the same thing years ago when I got my first street bike. First, I failed the test with flying colors. Then after several months later I did get my motorcycle license. It's a suck feeling to get out on an enjoyable bike ride, only to be watching for the po po.
Cool, just making sure, there was a lot of confusion about that as I was researching my options. The whole ordeal was so easy I am half tempted to do it to the rest of the ports lol
Yeah that's where I'm stuck at lol. I'm too much of a tinkerer. Just got this FNS-9 and I love it so much, I literally can't find anything to tinker with on it, but my tinkering side keeps telling me there has to be something lol
